Obituary for Edward Pascal Clark
Edward Pascal Clark, 93, a resident of Montgomery, passed away peacefully Monday, March 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Bede Catholic Church with his grandson Father Den Irwin presiding. Burial will follow at St. Margaret's Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway.
'Ed' is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years Margaret Clark, his parents Mattie Brundage and Edward (Jack) Clark, brother Jack Clark, grandson Rob Trussell, granddaughter Laura Allen, son-in-law Dr. Richard Weisberg, sisters-in-law Catherine Reickenback, Emma McElvy, Dodie Pappanastos, Helen Boman and Dottie Dean, brothers-in-law Zack Azar, Jr. and Edward Azar and Mary Catherine Farshee.
He is survived by his children Deanie Allen (Ray), Lynne Irwin (Mike), Ed Clark, Jr. (Pat), Maureen Trussell (Jim), Jeff Clark (Jill), Annette Clark (Richard, deceased), David Clark (Joyce), and Cynthia Harrison (Lee), grandchildren Paul Allen (Teresa), Yvonne McGinty (Charlie), Maria Justice (Jason), Clark Allen (Kerry), Father Den Irwin, Allison Rumore (Charles), Josh Clark, Jake Clark, Jessica Clark, Michael Clark (Kim), Mark Edward Clark (Greg Albright), Robert Lee Harrison; great grandchildren Paul Jr., Mary Ashley, Matthew, Margaret Ann, and Jack Allen, Allen, Anna Kate, Connor and Joseph McGinty, Sophia, Mary Alice and Isabella Justice, Charles Anthony, Dominic, Mary Margaret, Andrew, Thomas, Sarah Catherine, David, Stephen and Ben Rumore, Addison Margaret Clark, and Cooper Lee Harrison, brothers- in- law George Azar (Celeste), Tommy Azar (Ruth) and Jimmy Azar (Linda) and sister-in-law Gloria Azar. Pallbearers will be Ed Clark, Jr., Jeff Clark, David Clark, Jim Wuehler, Lee Harrison, Paul Allen, Clark Allen, Josh Clark, Jake Clark, Allen McGinty, Matthew Allen, Charlie McGinty Jason Justice and Charles Rumore.
Ed was a lifetime member of St. Bede Catholic Church and along with his wife Margaret, he was honored for his work in the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II with the Papal Medal, Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice. He graduated from Jones Law School and served for 40 years as the Executive Director of the City of St. Jude. Ed was an original member of Alabama Citizens for Life and the most instrumental person in founding and keeping C.O.P.E (Counseling, Outreach for Pregnancy Emergency) alive through the years. Ed always had a hug, a smile, a joke and of course candy for the many friends he loved so dearly.
