Obituary for James Edward Shehane
Mr. James Edward Shehane age 84 former mayor of Clio died Friday, August 19, 2016 in Montogomery.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Clio Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Long will officiate and an eulogy will shared by his brother-in-law, Billy Price. Special music will be provided by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Stewart. Burial will follow in the Pea River Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Wilkinson Shehane of Clio;daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Shehane-Bradford & Jeff Bradford of Montgomery; a daughter-in-law, Debby Shehane, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne & Billy Price of Montgomery; brother and sister-in-law, Howard & Fay Shehane of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Stewart; Joshua (Piper) Shehane, David (Joy) Shehane, Timothy Shehane, Gabriel Shehane, Jordan (Tiffany) Bradford, Kaelan Bradford.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Quenette Shehane and a son, Jon Shehane and his parents, Louie Shehane & Versie Herring Shehane.
Mr. Shehane retired from Ft. Rucker where he had worked in aircraft maintence. He served as the Mayor of Clio for 3 terms, 1992 to 2004 and was an active Deacon at the Clio Baptist Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Baker, Pete Johnson, Jordan Bradford, Kaelan Bradford and David Shehane.
In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to the V.O.C.A.L., (Victims of Crime and Leniency, P.O. Box 4449, Montgomery, Al, 36103 or the American Cancer Society.
Bonnie Ingram died last night. She has been sick all year. Hospice took her off food and liguids Sunday was a week ago, almost 2 weeks and she went in coma stage this week. She did not suffer in pain. That was good.

Bonnie Carter Ingram, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday afternoon, June 9, 2016, at her home. She was 74.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2016, in the Enon Church of Christ Cemetery, between Webb and Ashford, with Patricia Jones and Larue Lee officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the Enon Church of Christ.

Mrs. Ingram was born and reared in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She lived in the Panama City area before moving to Dothan. Mrs. Ingram was a member of the Cowarts Baptist Church and was active in V.O.C.A.L. in Dothan where she served as an advocate for the families. She was formerly employed as an EMT Hyperbaric Chamber Operator at the Panama City paper mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Ingram, a son, Charles Robert Burkett, a grandson, Kevin Rhodes, three sisters, Dorothy Mitchell, Carolyn Thornton and Ruby Bush.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Cynthia P. Ingram; a son, Lavonne Ingram (Nicole), all of Dothan; two sisters, Shirley Creeley (Paul), Chesapeake, VA and Barbara Janosick, Hohenwald, TN; a brother, Curtis Horton (Jean), Panama City, FL and a brother-in-law, Gerald Thornton, Hohenwald, TN; three grandchildren, Summer Ingram, Chelsea Ingram, and Jacob Ingram.

Former longtime Montgomery County Sheriff D.T. Marshall, 65, died on Wednesday morning after an ongoing illness. Sheriff Marshall served four consecutive terms as Montgomery County sheriff and retired in 2013. The Montgomery County Commission approved a request to rename the sheriff departments' training center and firing range after Marshall.

MARSHALL, "D.T.", 65, a Montgomery resident, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016. His Visitation will be held Monday, March 28, 2016, from 12:30 – 2:30 PM, at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church, followed by his Funeral Service at 3 PM at Frazer, with burial to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Snowdoun.
Survivors include three sisters, Elizabeth Wamhoff, Annie Pease (Todd), and Joyce Davis; two brothers, Bobby Marshall and Huey Marshall III (Caryn); stepdaughter, Lyndsey Whaley (Cory); step-grandchildren, Jackson & Adalyn Whaley; caregiver and nephew, Timothy Bouchard; two great nieces, Alexia Pease & Ansley Bouchard; and several other nieces and nephews. Ed was a lifetime member of St. Bede Catholic Church and along with his wife Margaret, he was honored for his work in the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II with the Papal Medal, Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice. He graduated from Jones Law School and served for 40 years as the Executive Director of the City of St. Jude. Ed was an original member of Alabama Citizens for Life and the most instrumental person in founding and keeping C.O.P.E (Counseling, Outreach for Pregnancy Emergency) alive through the years. Ed always had a hug, a smile, a joke and of course candy for the many friends he loved so dearly.
