Mrs. Barbara G. Hudson 83 of Elba passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019,at Medical CenterEnterprise. Funeralservices will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Greg Hanchey officiating. Committal services will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Elba. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.To honor Mrs. Hudson memorials may be made to Victims of Crime and Leniency, P.O. Box 4449, Montgomery, Alabama, 36103.Barbara known to many as “Aunt B” was a local business woman who was active in both her church and in the Elba Chamber of Commerce. She Loved Elba.

Barbarawas preceded in death by her parents R.C. & Rosetta Mathison Grantham, Sister - Dorothy "Dot" Smith, and Brothers - C.F. "Neil" Grantham, Elwood Grantham, and Bunk Grantham.

When VOCAL was first organized on November 15, 1982; Carol Melton started the very first VOCAL Chapter where she served as the first and only President of the Jefferson County VOCAL Chapter. Carol was a fierce Warrior for Justice. She was and always will be a very special of VOCAL.
Carol H. Melton, age 78 of Birmingham passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Visitation will be 11AM-12PM at Rideout's Gardendale Chapel at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, Alabama 35071. Funeral Service will be 12:00 - 12:30 PM at Rideout's Gardendale Chapel. Burial will follow in Liberty Minter Cemetery in Morris, Alabama.
State Vigil will be Friday night at 7 pm in Montgomery.
